RJ Crowley Moving and Storage has been the premier moving company in the Lakes and Mountains Region of New Hampshire for over 55 years. RJ Crowley hires seasonal help in the spring and summer  to add to their experienced crews to accommodate the increase in jobs. We may have openings at other times of the year, so feel free to inquire.

 

Applicants should be strong, courteous, work well in a team, have the ability to think on their feet and handle challenging situations. Experience is not necessary but is a bonus and reflected in pay rate. Summer is the peak season for the moving industry, so we expect to provide a full 40-hour week, however hours may vary based on jobs booked.

 

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Moving of boxes and furniture, individually as well as in teams depending on the size and weight of items.

• Carrying heavy items up stairs, ramps and inclines.

• Careful packing of fragile and/or valuable items.

• Securing of goods to storage in our Plymouth warehouse, which may require work on ladders.

• Maintenance tasks regarding the yard, warehouse and trucks (i.e. mowing, sweeping, debris removal, washing vehicles, etc.)

                                   

Minimum job requirements:

• Honesty and confidentiality a must.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Punctuality and reliability.

• Ability to receive and follow direction.

• Perform tasks in a thoughtful manner, showing care toward customers, their goods, their homes/businesses, co-workers and your own safety.

• Ability to carry 50 lbs.

• Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet.

• Flexibility to work outside the regular work hours of 8:00-4:00 if needed. We may occasionally try to assemble teams for weekend work when requested, but it is an exception, not the rule, and is voluntary.

 

Season: Mid-May through August (May have intermittent work

     after that if you would like to be kept on a call list.)

Hours: Open 8:00-4:00, 5 days a week. Actual hours may vary

     depending on jobs booked. Vacation time is not available to

     seasonal employees, even unpaid.

Pay Rate: Competitive rates with other seasonal work in the area.
